Bali – The Island of Gods

Of the 17,000 islands that make up Indonesia, there’s one that in many ways outshines them all: Bali, The Island of the Gods.

Ranked 8th among the World’s Best Islands in Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards in 2015 and 2nd in the Travel and Leisure Awards 2015, the mystical island of Bali is a captivating destination for travellers seeking a unique tropical holiday.

With its verdant rice paddies, volcanic landscape, lavish and ornate Hindu temples, rocky headlands and turquoise seas, it is unquestionably Indonesia’s crowning jewel. Featuring some of the world’s best hotels, spas and restaurants, Bali will enthral and impress even the most discerning travellers.

The daily lives of the Balinese are fully entwined with Hinduism and dedicated to rites and ceremonies aimed at maintaining harmony in this world. It is home to unique arts and crafts, exotic dance performances and a never-ending display of colourful ceremonies.

Located between the islands of Java and Lombok, the province comprises the island itself and several easily accessible smaller islands, including Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Menjangan, offering some of the best spots for surfing, snorkelling and diving in the region.

Absolutely magnificent stay. From the welcome while checking in to every step of the stay, staff had been absolutely top-class. Had flight delay due to volcano eruption, concierge and other staff were very supportive and helped in every way possible. Beautiful beach, although not private, but feels so due to the setting. Do go early to get the beach chairs, or try the less crowded area near Melia hotel. Only 3/4 hotels share the beach, but still good privacy. Water clear. Beach baby friendly once the waves slow down a bit. My little one enjoyed a lot. Food was ok, nothing wow, even Arwana restaurant. Breakfast should b in Benyubiru restaurant due to space and offers. Kulkul was quite good, Cornerstone also. Room service was a let down. Room was a bit tired looking, but still had all the luxury collection's usual comfort. Very big space to move around. Resort wonderfully maintained. Although seems a bit old, doesn't feel shaby at all. The overall setting makes it feel very cozy. Pool very good. Didn't use the lagoon, but that seemed nice as well. DEFINITELY FAMILY FRIENDLY with everyone very attentive to your kid's needs. Would love to come back soon.
